What is NATA?

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is being conducted by Council of Architecture. COA has the necessary expertise to hold a Common Aptitude Test in Architecture, at national level to provide a single window system for appearing in aptitude test and to facilitate institutions, students and public at large for admission to First year of 5 year B.Arch. Degree Course.

The purpose of conducting NATA is to provide a single scheme of examination for holding aptitude test and to facilitate prospective students all over the country to apply for admissions in architecture seats in institutions spread across the country and to avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests. It measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test makes an assessment of drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, Mathematics and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time and are related to the specific field of study.

You are judged on- Mathematical Ability, General Aptitude and Drawing Skills

(5 YEARS)

Part-A (FIRST 90 minutes) TOTAL 120 Marks

Mathematics (MCQ) 20X2= 40 Marks (OMR BASED)

General Aptitude (MCQ ) 40X2 = 80 Marks (OMR BASED)

Part-B (LAST 90 minutes) TOTAL 80 Marks

Drawings (TWO SETS) 2X 40 = 80 Marks

Ability to sketch a given object proportionately and rendering the same in visually appealing manner

Visualizing and drawing the effects of light on the object and shadows cast on surroundings

Perspective drawing/ Scale and proportions

Visual harmony using colours in given composition

Drawing from memory through pencil sketch on themes from day to day experiences Etc

Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent passed/appearing with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination etc.

Our NATA Prep. Course Course duration/ Course Structure
NATA entrance Regular term preparatory weekend/ weekdays course (for XI / XII/ XII Passed students) Specially designed to help these students interested in design, fashion & creative courses, to gain in-depth, fast paced & extensive knowledge throughout a span of 1 / 2 years. This course will make students all entrance exams ready in the architecture industry, while continuously nurturing their Creative & General abilities in the able guidance of core faculty members. We keep in mind the hectic schedules of students. Classroom sessions cover everything, so students have to devote approximately half an hour only everyday for homework and their school studies are not at all hampered or anyway affected
NATA entrance Short term preparatory weekend/ weekdays course (for all) Specially designed to help students of all category interested in architecture & creative courses, to gain in-depth, fast paced & extensive knowledge throughout a span of 3 / 6 months. This course will make students all entrance exams ready in the design industry, while continuously nurturing their creative abilities in the extensive guidance of core faculty members
